Sanibel resident Rachel Pierce launched her new art gallery with a soft opening on Friday, January 28.

Pierce completely remodeled the building many island residents and vacationers remember as the Sanibel Island Bookshop. The jazzy, modern interior is awash with tropical colors. The art gallery features jewelry and clothing as well as original Rachel Pierce artworks, prints and giclees.

Rachel Pierce Art Gallery is located at 1571 Periwinkle Way on Sanibel Island. Gallery hours are Monday-Saturday from 10AM to 5PM and on Sunday noon to 4PM.
